Well
In Response To: Anchor Windlass ()

As I recall, the Compac Horizon Cat(boat) has a 15 HP outboard as it's powerplant. You can probably rig a small profile Lewmar unit or SImpson Lawrence unit -- BUT, you're going to need to deal with the charging issues with that windlass. What you take out, you need to put back. Most windlasses really do not like low voltage loadings -- i.e., you need to be running a pretty beefy charge while you're retrieving an anchor rode, etc.

I realize that you probably have a relatively light ground tackle -- say an Danforth, Fortress, or maybe a small claw (CQR or similar) with say 6' of chain and a rope rode line, but still I'd be concerned with the effectiveness of the system if you were trying to use it on extended cruises where you don't "plug-in" the charger on land.
