shoot, why not just lead the ancor line aft to where you can get to it without going forward?...

... being that you would only use it when single handing, why not rig something up where you can deploy the anchor from the cockpit? Perhaps you can rig something up and lead the line down the side of the cockpit coaming or bullworks?
Just thinking out loud...
