Separation of closely spaced targets (update)

Target range resolution, short range target detection and visibility and sea clutter rejection are advantages over pulse radars. Found out a little more about their processing, and looks like the main thrust is much simpler than the classical approach to radar-probably not enough Doppler around anyway. Main issues with the technology appear to be long range target detection and vulnerability to interference from other radars and onboard reflectors. And, of course, the maturity of the technology.
