Tried our Raymarine MARPA without a high speed compass.

() It was all but useless unless we were motoringing in flat calm. I added the 1/10th second rate gyro and not it works. I don't see how MARPA would work at all based on GPS COG if your heading is bouncing around.

- Probably only when stopped. Your system should be able to use GPS heading info when underway..
- On our Furuno units (past and current), you need a rate of turn sensing compass -- not just a bearing heading?
