This year I want to permanently wire my Garmin plotter and new RAM mike so that their wires come up the Edson pedestal and feed the instruments. Question is how best to come out the pedestal? best to drill a hole in the top of the edson pedestal, under the compass, or best to drill a hole in the brushed aluminum Richie Globemaster base? As I am writing I am thinking maybe the pedestal itself, since I will actually need to bring two 3/8 in wires through the pedestal (or compass bowl) to the instruments. Any thoughts are appreciated!
