Paul, there is a grab bar, but the diameter of these wires is such that I feel they are too thich to run up the grab bar.

Larry, these 2 holes with clamshells, how far up the pedestal from the cockpit sole are you suggesting they be? I assume the wires would come out of them and drop down then loop back up toward the top of the pedestal Let me explain. I am mounting the garmin on the very top of the pedestal on a plastic "snap-it" base. I also have a snap it binocular holder that sits right at the level of the compass base, facing forward. My plan is to mount a plastic box to the bottom of the bino snap-it and route the RAM cable and mount into this plastic box. I could then attach the RAM to its connector on the bottom of the plastic box.

So, I really need to come out of the pedestal up high, near the black box (for RAM), and near the base of the compass for the Garmin leads to connect to.
