and it is wired so that my house banks gets the charge directly from Mastervolt and solar, and a battery combiner controls whether the start battery gets any. (My alternator is wired to the start battery and the combiner adds the house bank if engine battery charge voltage reaches 13.2v or higher). My Mastervolt is an older model circa 2001, with simple jumpers to control charge curve for either sealed lead-acid, AGM, or wet cell.

What are the gotchas?
