I find that the blades on wind generators are, in general,

are the weak link. I have a KISS and the blades are starting to degrade too. Most likely due to a UV issue. My old Red Wing had a four foot fiberglass blade and failed after three years in the tropics. When it failed it was, to say the least, spectacular! Luckily, I wasn't on board at the time. The first generation wind generators had huge blades and you would haul them up in the rigging when you got into port. Things have come a long way. It seems like your failure is premature. I would contact the manufacture and see if they have a replacement upgrade. At least put them on notice that their is a problem because when these blades fail people can get hurt. I would suggest that you not use it at all until you get new blades. I'm getting close to that point myself.
