I may have already regaled you with this incident...

As we were sitting in the anchorage at Boot Key one breezy morning, our neighbors wildly gyrating wind generator (long blade, first gen.) suddenly, with a noise like a gunshot, flung a blade which nearly decapitated the ice-cream vendor at his little cart on shore. It just skimmed the top of his head knocking off his cap but leaving his bald head unscathed. It was the talk of the fleet for days and there was a great replacing of blades throughout the anchorage over the next week.

If one will coat the blades (when new would be better) with 303 UV guard on a regular basis, their life will be considerably increased. This came to me from a factory rep. who seemed to know what he was talking about.
