Usually by the time you decide to haul it aboard you can't

We were towing the dingy a few years ago and the weather started deteriorating. By the time we made the decision to haul it aboard we decided it would be too dangerous. We were afraid to turn the boat toward the wind and raise it.

We just continued to tow it. A few times it passed us by as it surfed down a wave alongside us,,,, half full of water.

Didn't like the experience and never towed it agin for more than a mile or two.
