Don't know what others think, but if you want your anchor in the locker that's fine with me (but I'd rather have one ready on a roller, as it makes chain handling SO much easier).

However, since you don't have a way for your rode to go directly into the locker (unless you cut a slot in the edge of the lid) you can use one of the snap hooks to make a quick connection between rode and anchor, if it's already shackled (and seized) to the rode.
