have an issue with that. There is no way I would ever use something like that on one of my anchors. Gee, I lied, I use a hook on my dinghy anchor but that's it. I strongly agree with the strong suggestion not to do that. Use a good shackle and wire it closed. Figure out a way to have your anchor on deck ready to let go. IMHO
