When you have a place to do the work and all the connections / people and suppliers you know. When you're out of your own comfort zone then prices go up. Also I was amazed at the costs at the yard and that's one reason I blogged about it! Generally we do much of our work; but I'm tired of doing bottom jobs and some of the dirty work so we've accepted that it will cost to hire some of it out.
