Don't expect much from the COAMPS model at the capes.

() We rounded Cape Mendicino last night. downloaded the COAMPS GRIB before leaving Eureka. It should have been 15-20kts. We had a night of 35-38kt gusting to 43kt. That's a long call from the model predictions or the NWS text. We were doing 15kts with a double reefed main when we finally clawed the main down to calm things up. A Flicka 20ft had a parachute anchor out that parted in the waves.
