I like the idea of Hammer Links shown here...
i prefer double clevis connectors, but,
I agree, hammer links are the safest of the two approaches.
I notice the difference between "for lifting" and "not for lifting.
Imho there is no proper way. Chain is only as strong as the weakest link..
not sure about that
I used the hammer link... this was for a lunch hook...
Gene -- I came across another post related to this
so if the weakest link is strong enough, you're going to be fine with a link sleeping snug as a bug.
