I use to use a lens accessory called a 'Dinalens'
I think our VR Nikon lenses actually do it with a optical stabilization -- not software, Hagar?
I think it's similar technology to the Nikon VR (and probably Canon too).

That's right about their binocs; but, I was observing with respect to Nikon VR camera lenses
