It makes trips to town from New Harbor really easy. Cuts down on the walking and use of taxis.
Our folding bikes have 16" wheels and I think that's a little too small. 20" is a better compromise. Even with the 20" you do need to be more cautious about skidding on sand/gavel or slamming on the brakes going downhill -- have never pitched over the bars but it's a definite concern, so I try not to let it build too much speed going downhill. Also our Z-bike has 5-speeds and the Dahon has 3-speeds, which makes it a little tough up hills -- I'd like it to have at least one more lower gear. Don't settle for less than 5 speeds.
