Dahon Mu24

I've had the Dahon Mu24 since January and use it a lot for my neighborhood errands from home as well as on the boat. It has an aluminum frame, rear 3 speed hub, 8-speed cluster making 24, excellent for our hilly terrain. It is my best hill climber even with the 20" wheels. One of the cooler features is the floor pump built into the seat post. The seat becomes the handle. It quick folds in a less than a half minute.

The bike came with folding pedals but they had a bit of slop I didn't like so I replaced them with
MKS Lambda Superior Ezy Quick Release pedals (not cheap but good).

I tried several bikes including some Bike Fridays and I concluded that the hinge locks on the folding mechanisms were way better engineered on the Dahons than others I saw. The result is remarkably stiff.
I added a rack and then cobbled a vertical extension sticking up behind the seat so I can hang my backpack and grocery bags off it. I can snap on panniers too, but the Kelty Morraine backpack usually suffices.

As my favorite bike shop guy says, things are good when riding a bike puts a smile on your face.

I can post or email a photo if anyone wants it.
