If I decide to go ahead and start using it I will first remove it and have some side gussets added to eliminate the side loading issue. The calculations that D'Arcy did were all Greek to me but looked pretty damn impressive! He and I seem to have come to the same conclusion. Him with the math and me via the SWAG method. There are large SS backing plates and the hull is pretty darn thick so I don't believe there would be anything but the side loading to worry about. I followed Mirador and the work on the bow after the hurricane in La Paz with much interest. If there is a weak spot in the construction of Brendon, it's the bow platform. It looks wonderful but I have noticed on occasion that it vibrates quite a bit while letting the anchor go. Maybe some SS bars running down the underside outer edge of the platform to the hull like you did on Mirador might help take some of that out. Do you think we can ever stop throwing money at these things???
