All I was trying to say is that aluminium boats are much more sought after in

Europe than in the US.
This leads to higher second hand prices in Europe for comparable boats.

I know of several cases where similar boats sold for 205% to 50% less here (N America) that they would have fetched in Europe.

Our Passoa 47 is aluminium, and we meet lots of sailors in Europe who say "I wish I could affoard an alumonum boat" or words to that effect.
When we were on the East Coast, Bahamas and Cuba, meeting mostly Americanas and Canadians, very few said that. They were more inclied to ask how we controlled corrosion, and telling us horror stories of aluminum corrosion. (We have none in 7 years and about 25,000 miles)
