Larry, they are the exact type, but I got them at Ace hardware (for twice the price). It took me awhile to figure out why they wouldn't work, and I'm still not sure they aren't defective. They work fine on a more rigid pipe like PVC, but on the softer squishier hose, the back pressure on they blade just pushes it back between ratchets and it never makes an initial cut. I have an old pair that I finally found hidden away in my took box this evening and I'll try them in the morning.
