I worked in the University of Illinois Library (one of the largest collections in the U.S.). I was one of several people that were being paid to move the Rare Books Library from the old to a new location. There was a Guttenberg Bible, but the librarian didn't let us move that one. There were some very old, smelly, delicate books. If you were to drop one, I was told it would pulverize.
But no, my copy of the The Shipkiller is hardly one of those. I'm looking at it in the bookcase now. Probably the best investment of my life?
