The snowfall was typical of what upstate NY gets....

Upstate is good for at least one pounding a winter, sometimes more. This photo was from a snowstorm in February 2007. Note the snow pile son the left andright from the snow up to February. The difference between upstate and the metro NYC region is the population density. A lot of people and a lot of cars make for a huge mess. It only takes one moron to spin out on I95 to cause miles and miles of backed up traffic. Combine idiots in Audis and BMWs trying to go 60 with the Jamaican driving 5 MPH and you have problems.

Yeah, the wind was howling. The boat was rocking and getting slammed hard and I worried about the dock lines parting, but everything turned out fine.
