The feature we'll probably use most for the next while is displaying video and photos from household Macs. That's easy. We can send iTunes music to it as well but no sense in firing up the big screen just for audio. Browsing YouTube is fun for a while. It adds another way to rent videos. The Apple site is easier to browse than Comcast's. The Apple TV has max HD resolution of 720p not the full 1080. That's not a big deal for me. The Remote app on the iPhone can control the Apple TV via wifi. I prefer it to the Apple TV remote. The Remote app uses the iPhone's soft keyboard for entering searches. That's easier than scanning a matrix of letters on the Apple TV remote. Since there's no dedicated backspace key on the Apple TV remote, making a mistake is slow to fix. All in all, Apple TV is a polished product. Full disclosure: I own Apple stock.
