on the Great Lakes back in the early 70's. Skip Boston of Boston Sails built it for us. It was the result of taking our C&C 30 and making it rate level 3/4 ton. We cut 3 feet off of the boom, moved the traveler to the bridge deck, added 18" to the spinnaker pole and built the new main and a new chute. That main was the most beautiful sail! it was more like a headsail instead of a mainsail. plus, it had 2 feet of foot that hung below the boom and added more HP! a bit more of a job to furl, but oh how nice on a reach!
