I got weather via e-mail from a variety of sources. When we were "gone" cruising, we got Chris Parker's daily e-mail, we got the NOAA surface analysis & forecast for 24, 36 & 72 hours, we also got buoyweather spot forecasts. I got all via sailmail, nothing fancy, no internet.
Now that we're back to "real life" in Florida, anytime we're going somewhere, like our last month down the SW FL coast, 10,000 Islands, Little Shark River, to the Keys, Marathon to Key West, we had buoyweather spot forecasts as well as NOAA offshore gulf of mexico text.
It can be done, it's not easy figuring out how to sign up for the free stuff from NOAA. I can't remember how to do the surface analysis and forecasts, David's not happy with me... maybe I'll spend time & figure it out again sometime soon.
Cheers! Jan
