I had to do the main halyard sheave on my Tartan 30 last fall. Took two screwdrivers to pry the sheave out of the masthead. Sheave is aluminum with one of those bronze bearing inserts. The bronze insert had extruded from each side of the sheave and was binding on the inside of the masthead. New bronze insert and all is good.
