A point to think about

About three years or so before we departed to go cruising, I installed a new engine. I had a "professional" from the engine shop come out and align the shaft for me. I watched from the cockpit. About 6 months to a year before we departed, I had another mech come out and paid good $$ to have the shaft aligned once more to make sure it was correct.

Take a look at our position report at: http://www.svguenevere.com/2004/nov.html
MAJOR problem because the shaft was not aligned properly!!!! This time I hired a shipwright to align the shaft. When he arrived, I instructed him to NOT touch a tool! I would do the work under his supervision. He charged more (it took more time) but in the long run it has paid off very well!!!!!

So, just because a "professional" does it, does NOT make it correct!

Now go crazy and make sure that clip IS an extra.....
