I'll second that - the Hurth multi disk system is far better than a cone clutch.

() and not very complicated, either. It is the same mechanism that has been used in motorcycle clutches and every automatic transmission for half a century. Cone clutches are from two centuries ago. You don't see them on most modern machinery - except some boat transmissions!
