Went out for a sail yesterday and got about a mile into it and turned around and went back. It was like someone had a hair drier blowing in my face. I honestly never thought I'd see a day in Maine that was to hot to go sailing. When I got the boat and opened her up she was 109 degrees below deck and the air temp outside was 99. At home, before I left, our indoor/outdoor thermometer was reading 101 and it is very much located in the shade to get more accurate readings.. That is the hottest it has read since 1994!!!!!!
Put her back on the mooring and went home and payed some bills....in the air conditioning..... We were supposed to be off sailing for the weekend but cabin fan or not last night was no night to be sleeping on a non air-conditioned boat, at least for us...
