It's been a while since I've posted here so I figure posting a photo for Wednesday early is fitting. In recent years we sold our Frances 26 and house in Hawaii and returned to Boulder, CO for a job offer that was too good to pass up. We miss Hawaii and sailing there, but life is very good in Boulder. Now my daughters are nearly grown up at 12 and 14. We also regularly sail our 17' day sailor.
My wife, two daughters, and I just spent two weeks bumming around Costa Rica. We managed to see a fair amount of that beautiful country putting just over 2000 km on the rental car bouncing from the mountains to the Caribbean Coast, back to the mountains, and then onto the Pacific Coast. Here's a shot from one of my favorite areas. Dominical is a small surf town on the Pacific Coast. The pot holes on main street (dirt road) are usually filled with coconuts. It's my kind of town.
If you want to see a few more shots from the trip I've posted some on my website here: http://www.pmimage.com/costa_rica.html
Cheers,
Phil
