Well, count me in as one of those guys that posts incorrect information. I was working from memory when I started this thread, but I have just confirmed that I have a 6000, not a 5000. Sorry for the confusion. I'm going to try to upload a few photos that may help bring things together.

Responding to Brian's questions, the rudder does in fact move when I use the +/- or the rudder adjustment on the control. The display does not adjust as far as I can tell from the movement of the boat. The display did change when I rotated the compass.
