BUZM3 (SW entrance to Bedford harbor??) Max SUSTAINED WIND 46 knots PEAK Gust (56 knots)

BRND1 (just SW Cape May) Max SUSTAINED WIND 50 knots PEAK Gust (68 knots)
SUSTAINED winds are 8 minute AVG for buoys
GUSTS are highest 5 second average during the 8 minute peak period
A hurricane must have sustained winds over 64 knots
A TS must have sustained winds over 34 knots
My anemometer at 61' frequently reads 30 knots while the SAN airport a 1/2 mile away reports short term averages 1/2 that. RayMarine has calibrated the wind instrument twice - I've often wondered who is correct?
As I can personally attest - the wind is not the issue - it is the waves/chop/surge and your photo is impressive.
