He's brain dead.

I was following Weather Underground's website that lists all the area's weather stations. When the eye was passing over Stamford, we had 5 MPH winds. Westport, just to the east of Stamford, had 51 MPH, while Chappaqua had 112 MPH wind. That's good enough evidence for me.

Anyway, it's a moot point. There were a few boats up on the beach here in Connecticut, but the Schenectady Yacht Club no long has any docks on the river and 16 boats went over the dam in Troy. The Erie Canal is totally flooded and closed, the Waterford Canal Center is flooded, Guy Park Manor in Amsterdam was heavily damaged by the flood for the first time in 300 years, Sharon Springs and Middleburgh are inundated, and the entire state of Vermont was devastated. The damage is many billions of dollars. Is there any point in debating whether it was a tropical storm or a cat 1 hurricane?
