and you would have the low end wind speed of Hugo in the VI. It blew the anemometer off the tower at the airport in Culebra at 210. Lets just hope the East Coast doesn't get hit with one like that. Irene was a gentle summer whisper by comparison. Hugo hit St Thomas as a Cat. 3 but had been as high as a Cat. 5. From what I have read, Irene didn't even make past a TS. Can you just imagine what the east would look like now at a Cat 3 level. You would have Katrina damage all up and down the east coast from Florida keys to Road Island. How bad would that be?
