... I doubt I would ever use the Automatic Flush feature, when away from the boat. Mostly because we are never away for short periods of time from the boat while we are cruising, we're either there or we're gone. For someone who comes and goes every couple weeks, perhaps that would be a good thing to have. But for me, when we do leave the boat, all the seacocks get closed and all the power is off, especially the fresh water pump, which a lot of the time we'll turn off even while sailing. I guess if you're going off hiking or exploring some place for a week or two, this could be a good feature, if that's what you like to do, in Europe taking trains here & there, and then keeping 7 gallons of water in the tanks times the number of cycles required wouldn't be that big a deal. But I haven't figured out why the Automatic Flush (while away from the boat) makes much sense, or is very safe ... I just can't imagine when we would ever want that.
