It is 20+ years old and needs to be replaced. Rather than sink $700 or whatever into a new one, I'm going to put the money towards a Precision Temp on-demand propane HW heater. I'll set the output to shower temp and have a single line feeding the cockpit and the head (I have an aft head so the heater will be situated near both shower spots). We won't have HW at the galley but never used it much anyway. We usually have tea and use some of that HW for cleaning dishes if necessary, if we can't use the seawater pump.

Bottom line, I'll have a dedicated run for the Heater Craft heater.
