I'm glad others feel the same. You can tell they're taking this in stride. The little girl (8 and 10) was dressed correctly and happy as a clam. The dads ease and obvious experience gave me instant confidence in all their safety. It was a warm boat all around.
I heard a diesel heater like an Espar going full blast. You couldn't find a happier group doing what they wanted to do. They seemed in no hurry. I saw the boat coming into the harbor the night before just as I finished covering mine. Later that night walking the dogs, there was a US Customs and Immigration car at the docks. (My thought, they didn't just come across???)
Notice the snowman on the dock, there's another at the top. I could see Rockport Marine rolled out the hoses(stowed for winter). The boat was a Westerly and looked fairly new and very well equipped.
The dad was looking for winds to head south along the coast I think. He mentioned today which sounds "sporty" but diminishing. And then good NW to West winds.
As I went down the icey ramp to the dock(can you see it's low tide?) I thought I might get a warm up for snowboarding season.
