I didn't get to ask many questions. Rockport was their check in with US customs, maybe not their first landfall.

I assume they may have come through via Canada first and checked in there. They may have then shot across to Maine for clearing into the US. It sounds like they plan to make a beeline to Florida, then the Bahamas(then Bermuda, Azores and home).
We had a couple from Wales last night for thanksgiving that have done much sailing in the EU. According to them, our weather right now wouldn't be much of a problem to these folks.
