The DC metro area has a relatively low unemployment -- especially for skilled persons with computer, systems engineering, etc. Southern Maryland (around the Patuxent River) has a lot of those sorts of positions. BUT if you're just looking for general employments, it's a lot tighter job market.

If you're retired; or just seeking supplemental income, you have a lot of choices elsewhere
