Nice work. I have a small boat hook for my nylon rode.

And somebody has to go below and pull it. Our bow is so long, the 5' long hook is needed to pull the coils aft. Sort of a pain but it takes time to raise and anchor in Maine cleaning the mud off as you stow it. Your rode would be an improvement for sure.

I'd never post my rope to chain splice online, but they seem to work.
