If it works as expected, the benefits would likely outweigh the negatives. Chafe is chafe, and when it comes to chafe at the fiber level -- nylon is nylon. Where we anchor there isn't much to snag -- or maybe I just haven't found it an issue yet because I've been using 3-strand. 
Will report back to the group after I get some experience with it.
