I sailed one of these a couple weeks ago, somewhat bigger than the one in the pic. The guy let me steer it downwind through a long narrow channel, then tacking back up the same channel. It performed a lot better than I expected it would, given the beam, weight, wetted surface and the fact we had about 15 people aboard. It tacks in 90 degrees which was a pleasant surprise. The rudder is very long horizontally, and the tiller is a monster. It pretty much takes your whole body leaning on it to steer.
