Sometimes I'm amazed to check the extended info for dates and see the camera. Taken with a 4 pixel Kodak point and shoot. The internet 1024 wide resolution is very forgiving. Then I went to a Canon A700. For the last several years, I've been using a Canon EOS 40D SLR. That makes all the difference. Mostly I use a 17-28 or 28-135 zoom. My only software now is Iphoto which I find a good tool.
But some of the old shots are still good for the internet. I still have and use the A700 where a small camera works better, but that's not very often anymore.
