I guess I'm running 250 to 300 gallons through a filter before changing.

() At that rate, I haven't had an issues with clogged filters(I run 100+ hours avg. a season). I use a 10 micron on my 500 and a 2 on the engines secondary. That amount of fuel seems well within the designs of the filter system but you can't go wrong changing them more often either.
