I have to make some bus straps for my handholds in the cabin. Patti can't reach the handholds. I want to use 1" tubular nylon webbing, I'll wrap the strap around the handhold and triple up the end so I have about 1/2" of nylon webbing to run a bolt through to pinch it to the handhold. I'll have 2 washers on each side with finishing nuts or acorn nuts. What can I drill through the nylon with?

Here is a pic of the handholds. As you can see we have 6'6" headroom and when we are heeled over Patti can't reach the grab bars. I'm open to suggestions.
