And I see people adapt and redesign their boats to making the seasonal exodus up and down the coast. The boats making this circuit are evolved differently than you see sailboats that are used for coastal sailing or cruising. I bet many dodgers and and cockpit enclosures are built enroute. Sailboats aren't well designed for motoring long distances regularly. What these contraptions all attempt to design are inside steering stations for spending weeks under power out of the sun, rain and wind.
I wonder looking at this lobsterboat pilot house sort of design, if it is meant to be removable, say at each end, to sail? I'm a dangerous optimist, I admit it.
