have you considered putting in an in-line water filter?

() My boat has double sinks and two fresh water foot pumps. One has an in-line water filter and the water tastes excellent. The other tap can be used for other water needs like washing up. The filter is long-lasting and not very expensive. Sure beats having to carry jugs of fresh drinking water to the boat.
