You might try simple (relatively inexpensive) automotive type line filters on the circuits. You'd need to provide the filters on the feed to not only the CPU of control head, but also the motor circuits (if they are, as is often the case, on multiple power feeds).

That might cost very little, and maybe...(if you're lucky) solve the problem.
