Put Ferrite cores on ALL wires connecting to the AP.

These should be on a both ends of the wires and include inputs and outputs from the control head. This is a relatively easy fix to try as a start. You buy or borrow a SWR and power meter and test the output SWR for the frequencies that you know knock out the AP.
